- Kicking back and relaxing in the incredible open plan living space which spans the entire ground floor.

- Walking along the riverbank to Fowey for a waterside seafood lunch.
- Messing about on the little beach in Golant at low tide.
A modern masterpiece, Lantyan House has been designed for sociable holidays. The open plan living space on the ground floor is loosely divided into sitting, dining, reading and kitchen areas, all of which overlook the river below. Filled with light the room glistens in the sunshine with a cosy wood burner and colourful quirky furniture creating a fun atmosphere. French windows open out to a lovely terrace, perfect for sunny breakfasts and sneaky sundowners.Upstairs are four orderly bedrooms. Fight over the master with its superb six foot super-king bed, floor to ceiling windows and en-suite bathroom. The two further king-size bedrooms and a twin won’t disappoint however as all have a Juliet or full balcony. A family bathroom on the first floor and ground floor shower room complete the picture.
The terrace off the living space is a real suntrap so pull up one of the inside-out chairs and soak up some rays. To the side of the house is a wide lawn and a further terrace with picnic table and yet more amazing views. Fairly steep steps lead up to this garden so please be sure to keep an eye on little ones as there is a steep drop to the side too.
Golant will live up to your expectations of a sleepy Cornish fishing village. Narrow lanes are lined with higgledy piggeldy cottages which run down to the shore where The Fisherman’s Arms Inn overlooks The Pill, a tidal lagoon which was created when the Fowey to Lostwithiel railway was built.Fowey can be reached in just five minutes by car but we recommend the walk along the riverbank which will take just over an hour. This stretch of the river Fowey was apparently the inspiration for Wind in the Willows and it’s easy to see why; the stunning woodland scenery is home to incredible wildlife and you may spot a heron or kingfisher on the way. With a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, galleries and boutique shops in Fowey, it will be worth the effort! This really is the place to mess about in boats so book a kayak or canoe trip and head out to explore the tranquil creeks and smugglers caves. Fishing and boat trips, golf, riding and more can also be arranged in the local area. For beach lovers Polkerris, Par Sands and Readymoney Cove are within easy reach.
