A typical townhouse, the accommodation spans four floors. The open plan living room and kitchen are the ground floor with seating around a cosy wood burning stove to the front and a sleek modern kitchen and dining space at the rear. The master bedroom on the first floor has a smart en-suite bathroom whilst the second floor plays host to a super king bedroom which can be presented as a twin room on request. A bathroom on this floor also serves the third floor where there is a spacious single bedroom with an extra pull out bed. South facing, sun streams in through the small paned windows of the house from morning till night.
There is an enclosed suntrap garden to the side of the house which also has superb views of the river, a delightful spot for breakfast, lunches, drinks or a barbecue. Shared with the neighbouring property, the garden is accessed via a public pathway and a few steps.
Morocco House is situated in the oldest part of the village of Kingswear within easy walking distance of the waterfront. Higgledy piggledy lanes wind around the village and the house is accessed via 20 steps up or 25 steps down from one of these lanes. With a friendly atmosphere you can pick up local provisions in Kingswear or pop into one of the traditional pubs for a bite to eat. For a wider choice of restaurants, cafes and shops we recommend that you catch the short passenger or car ferry across the water to Dartmouth. Here you can explore winding Elizabethan streets, visit the museum and stunning castle or simply sip a cappuccino and watch the visiting cruise ships arriving. The town is buzzing with life with various festivals and regattas throughout the year so check out what’s on or ask us before you travel. There is so much to do in the local area; visit Totnes, Dittisham, Salcombe and Brixham by water or hop on the steam railway which links Kingswear with Paignton for some good old fashioned holiday fun. Walkers will not be disappointed either with the South West Coastal Path and Dart Valley Trail on the doorstep. If beaches are your thing, head a little further west to Blackpool Sands or east to the wide sandy beaches of Torbay.
