This superb contemporary house is set on the hillside with reverse level accommodation making the most of the incredible outlook. Access to the front door is via 40 steps up through planted terraces so it may not be suitable for the infirm.The first floor plays host to a superb open plan living space with vast floor to ceiling windows framing the river below. Perfect for groups, there is a tremendous feeling of space on this floor with a raised reading area as well. To one side of the living area is the kitchen dining room with doors opening out to a super terrace, perfect for sunny breakfasts, lazy lunches or alfresco suppers. The ground floor is home to three bedrooms; a king size with en-suite facilities, a twin and a single with an extra pull out bed, suitable for children. There is a further king size room on the first floor with an en-suite shower room.
There are wide terraces from both ground and first floor so pick your spot, grab a book and relax. There are table and chairs on both upper and lower terraces plus loungers for total relaxation. A further enclosed patio at the rear is equipped with child's table tennis table. The terraces garden is beautifully planted with gorgeous shrubs lining the steps down to the parking area.
Potter downhill into Kingswear for friendly pubs or to pick up local provisions. From here you can also catch the short passenger or car ferry across the water to Dartmouth. With coffee culture, fabulous restaurants and boutiques for browsing, there is plenty to entertain. The town is also home to various festivals and regattas so check out what’s on and get involved.This part of the world is all about the water so take you pick from a number of river and sea cruises to Totnes, Dititsham, Salcombe and Brixham. The steam railway also links Kingswear with Paignton for some good old fashioned fun. Walkers will be kept busy with the South West Coastal Path and Dart Valley Trail. If it is beaches you seek, head a little further west to Blackpool Sands or east to the wide sandy beaches of Torbay.
